Celebrating an achievement: The Climate Resilient Herders’ Livelihood project has been successfully implemented for 2 years

World Vision US-funded "Climate Resilient Herders’ Livelihood" project has been successfully implemented in 8 soums of Uvs and Gobi-Altai provinces, high in poverty with extreme climate conditions such as dzud and drought from 2021-2023. The project aims to improve the resilience, livelihood, and nutrition of poor herder households through livestock provision, home gardening, and producer group formation.
300 vulnerable households who were selected through the criteria of the poverty level, number of children, households with children under 5, household vulnerability, people with disabilities, pregnant and lactating women, and single-headed households.) benefited from the 2-year project as direct beneficiaries in target soums. Throughout the project implementation period, these households received proper information about the project and expressed their willingness to cooperate and make positive changes in their lives, especially improving their children’s well-being. They have been actively engaged in project activities on child health and nutrition, animal husbandry, and animal health.
