PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of this position is to support the implementation of Sponsorship operations within the area program. The position supports the Area program manager in ensuring Sponsorship is well integrated within the area program ensuring the accurate and timely processing of correspondence and monitoring of child well-being outcomes for all Registered Children. The CESS provides coordination and support to ensure Partnership Sponsorship Standards are met and participates in sponsorship education processes and contributes as needed, providing technical input on sponsorship messaging and on sponsorship aspects of community engagement. The CESS is also responsible for providing subject matter expertise for the integration of sponsorship requirements with the development process and life skills, also coordinates information management data quality, data entry, monitoring, tracking, exception reports & follow-up reports.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates in sponsorship education processes and contributes as needed
- Develops and provides technical input on sponsorship messaging
- Maintains the inventory of sponsorship communications materials
- Provides technical input on sponsorship aspects of community engagement
- Facilitate community engagement and capacity-building efforts of partners and community groups
- Supports DF to coordinate specific needs of sponsorship communications at critical points – meeting with parents
- Provides subject matter expertise for the integration of sponsorship requirements with the development process and child participation
- Coordinates Integrated Activity Plan to link sponsorship requirements with a project or other activities
- Provides coordination and support to ensure Child Monitoring Standards are met
- Supports the establishment of monitoring processes and systems through the CBW/CP committee including volunteer arrangements
- Coordinates Integrated monitoring plan and its implementation
- Coordinates information management – Data quality, data entry, monitoring exception reports, follow-up reports
- Coordinates the incorporation of Child Protection standards in sponsorship processes.
- Ensures that HOPE system data is made available regularly for staff/partners review and decision decision-making sponsor communications activities are designed in such way as ta o contribute to life skills and development assets of children
- Coordination of design, development of communication materials, quality assurance, and administration (including postage)
- Coordinates information management, data quality, data entry, monitoring, tracking, exception reports, follow-up, and reports
- Engage in own personal learning and development and spiritual maturity and contribute to the development of colleagues
- Contribute to ongoing reflection and learning within the team to improve program performance tracking
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Minimum education, training, and experience requirements to qualify for the position
- University (bachelor) degree in Social science and development field
- At least years’ experience in community engagement work and managing child sponsorship
- 2 years of experience in management and leadership
- Previous relevant experience, including at least one year of working in and with communities
- Experience with Sponsorship activities, program planning, implementation, and monitoring
- Experience with faith, community-based, and child-focused empowerment programs
- Strong understanding of community-led development work
- Demonstrated knowledge of child sponsorship programming
- Excellent training and capacity-building skills; demonstrated by relevant experience
- Creative and able to apply innovative thinking, partnership building and problem-solving skills;
- Strong facilitation skills, including catalyzing, connecting, and building the capacity of community groups
- Good analytical and writing skills; Basic understanding of design, monitoring, and evaluation
- Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity, abilities to work as a team
- Computer literacy; Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
