The national “Sanitation for Peace” campaign launched on World Toilet Day, is expanding its reach, actively promoting improved sanitation and raising public awareness about hygiene.

As part of this campaign, students are identifying sanitation issues and developing innovative projects to bring positive change to their communities.

Its' impact is now extending on a national level, with government and international organizations expressing their support. The National Center for Public Health, the Mongolian Toilet Association, households, schools, and public facilities have emphasized the importance of improving sanitation and advocating for necessary policy changes.

Training sessions and seminars organized by institutions such as the National Center for Public Health, WASH Action NGO, and World Vision Mongolia have covered crucial topics, including modern sanitation technologies, menstrual hygiene, and the negative effects of traditional pit latrines. Participants are also gaining valuable skills in evidence-based reporting, project writing, and community advocacy, helping to advance the sanitation reform movement and develop sustainable solutions.

As the campaign grows, the movement is gaining momentum online, with students and young people actively sharing their views and engaging in open discussions about sanitation issues.
