At the age of nine, Nomin-Erdene was a quiet and timid girl. She avoided greeting her classmates, let alone answering questions in class. She was afraid to express her thoughts and often kept to herself, worried about how others might react.

However, joining the ‘Participate and Grow’ club marked a turning point in her life. At first, she was hesitant and merely observed, but gradually, she became engaged in the club’s activities, including interactive games and teamwork exercises. Day by day, she started opening up and gaining confidence in communicating with others.

The club's activities taught her an important lesson—she realized that she didn't have to fear expressing her opinions. She learned to understand herself better and communicate freely. Now, she confidently raises her hand in class, asks questions, and shares her thoughts without hesitation.

"I used to be scared to speak," Nomin-Erdene recalled. "But now, it's different. I understand what I want and can express myself freely."

This transformation extended beyond the classroom and into her daily life. She now interacts openly with teachers and classmates and actively participates in school activities. Most importantly, she has discovered her voice and gained self-confidence.

Today, Nomin-Erdene looks toward her future with optimism. "I’m excited to keep learning and growing," she said with a smile. "I’m grateful to everyone who gave me this opportunity."

‘Participate and Grow’ is more than just a club—it’s a space where children learn to open up, express themselves, and build self-confidence. Through this initiative, implemented by World Vision Mongolia, many children are finding their voices and developing essential skills for the future.
