  • LIVELIHOOD SPECIALIST FOR RESILIENCE AND LIVELIHOOD TECHNICAL PROGRAM UNIT AT NATIONAL OFFICE

    Purpose of the position: To provide support to the Resilience and Livelihood (R&L) Technical Program Manager on the implementation of economic development objective at National, Cluster, and Area Program level, to support the staff and World Vision’s partners with capacity building on Economic Development programming.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide guidance on the implementation of the Economic Development (ED) component in the R&L Technical Program and other ED models being implemented like Graduation approach and Saving group
    • Provide progress information to management and staff on the implementation of project models, integration with other sectors and partners as well as lesson learned
    • Support the designs, so that they follow World Vision’s development approach promoting child-led activities are safe, empowering and that make the most vulnerable children benefit
    • Engage with World Vision regional and global sectorial networks for sharing and learning for the pilot project models on the Economic Development
    • Support Grant Acquisition team to develop the ED knowledge and skills to write concepts, design and implement effective baselines, and evaluations for the ED programs

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor degree in a field related ED, Project Management, Agriculture, Research, Social Studies or related area
    • At least 3 years of professional experience on ED programming or equivalent
    • Excellent facilitation and capacity building skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mongolian
    • Good understanding of Livelihood Programming and Program cycles such as planning, designing, monitoring and evaluation
    • Good networking, partnering and coordinating skills
    • Willingness to be flexible with hours when necessary and able to travel often in the field
    • Commitment to Ethos, Core Value and Mission statement of WVM;
