    Purpose of the position: 

    Local program and Grants manager (LPGM) is responsible to manage and ensure smooth implementation of locally funded and internationally funded and internationally funded programs and projects in alignment with donor organizations’ guidelines and standards by collaborating with internal and external key stakeholders. LPGM will manage overall local child sponsorship programs and grant efforts, overseeing fund-raising, optimizing the grant administration process, preparing progress reports, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, etc.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead an internal cross-functional working group meeting at minimum monthly to ensure the highest level of accountability and impact of both local sponsorships funded programs and Grants program.
    • Communicate and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders
    • Monitor implementation team to ensure they implement and administer grants according to grant agreement and grant regulations
    • Write narrative progress reports for strategic, major and mid-major donors in coordination with other team members
    • Provide guidance, direction and technical support to the project staffs to deliver quality implementation
    • Ensures all the expenses are within the approved budget line
    • Participate in cross-departmental initiatives relating to local sponsorship programs and grants management
    • Assemble stories from the filed in partnership with technical program managers and the marketing and communications team
    • Work closely with the marketing and communications team to develop visibility plan in alignment donor requirements
    • Conduct frequent conversations with an emphasis on the job coaching, constant constructive feedback to support their performance and development, and ensure World Vision’s performance management processes are followed

    Essential Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:

    • University degree in Social/rural development, business administration, public health, economics or a related field;
    • Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in program/project development with a thorough understanding and experience of different Grants programs and donor agencies such as UN, EU, ADP, World bank rules and regulations;
    • Demonstrated track record in proposal development, funding acquisitions and grant management for major government donors preferred
    • Ability to lead a multi-cultural team with an empowering and outcome-oriented approach
    • Strong project management and organization skills
    • Excellent communication, persuasive writing, editing and presentation skills
    • String strategic thinker
