  • PROJECT MANAGER FOR THE PROJECT ENHANCING CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH OF ZAVKHAN PROVINCE, MONGOLIA

    Uliastai soum, Zavkhan province

    Purpose of the position: 

    Provide overall leadership and management of the project, “Enhancing Civil Society Organizations” contribution to sustainable local economic development and growth of Zavkhan province.

    This position is located in Uliastai soum, Zavkhan province under the supervision of West Cluster Office and it is required to travel regularly (up to 50% of working time) to the project target areas.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the project team to fully align with the project goal and priorities, sectoral focus & cross-cutting themes for effective implementation of the project in accordance with donor requirement
    • Ensure that project expenses are within an approved plan and budget
    • Ensure timely preparation and submission of the accurate monthly, quarterly, semi-annual report and annual report and end of project reports as required by World Vision Mongolia, donors and other bodies
    • Ensure the timely and satisfactory development of Annual operation plans and budget
    • -Work with other projects, Area Program, and Cluster teams to ensure coherence in project quality practices within the wider ministry of World Vision Mongolia in the area

    Essential Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:

    • University Degree in Management, social work, community development or related fields;
    • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills;
    • Able to communicate well spoken and written English and Mongolian
    • Able to develop appropriate reports, proposal, correspondence and interesting stories in the English language
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in World Vision or similar agencies is preferable
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent relations with government, church, NGO’s and community leaders
    • Experience in managing people and multi-sectoral programs
    • Commitment to Ethos, Core Value and Mission statement of WVM;
