  • PROJECT OFFICER FOR BUILDING HOPES FOR CHILDREN PROJECT BASED IN DARKHAN CITY

    Purpose of the position: 

    The purpose of the Project Officer is to serve as a catalyst, partnership broker, and builder of the capacity of local partners, facilitating the emergence and strengthening of community-led initiatives to take ownership of the improvement and sustenance of the well-being of children and their families. This position will support the implementation of the project and ensure that all the admin related duties, as well as project management, are running smoothly in a timely manner and the desired project implementation standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate effective working relationships between local stakeholder groups and between local partners and others outside the area
    • Identify new partners within and outside the community, identify how these partners can work together towards shared priorities for child well-being
    • Facilitate and support key community meetings/workshops designed to explore and identify key priorities for child well-being
    • Ensure primary focus area plans in the creation of annual area project plans
    • Train and coach partner local groups on appropriate skills and self-assessment methods

    Essential Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience, including at least one year of development facilitation in communities
    • Strong understanding of community-led development work and good facilitation skills
    • Able to communicate well spoken and written English and Mongolian
    • Able to develop appropriate reports, proposal, correspondence, and interesting stories
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent relations with government, church, NGOs, and community leaders
    • Good computer skills, including proficiency in word processing
    • Commitment to Ethos, Core value and mission statement of World Vision Mongolia
