  • Public Engagement and Brand Specialist at the National Office

    The purpose of the position is to increase the overall reputation and trust and funding diversification of the organization in Mongolia, the Public Engagement and Brand Specialist, assures World Vision’s brand is brought to life through creative/art, compelling story telling, public engagement, social media and campaign management.

    To provide public engagement and creative support to enhance World Vision’s internal and external communications including the production and improvement of advocacy and marketing collateral through effective application and integration of the organization’s current global and local brand guidelines and Creative principles. 


    • Develop World Vision Mongolia’s Public Engagement plan and ensure it is implemented and the targets are achieved through effectively managing social media, website and advocacy / fundraising campaigns.
    • Ensure World Vision Mongolia’s fundraising goals achieved through organizing fundraising / advocacy campaigns and one time giving events / platforms.
    • Ensure World Vision Mongolia’s brand visibility within the country and internationally through assuring all creative contents are World Vision Global Brand compliant and staff and vendors are educated of the Global Brand Guide.
    • Liaise and manage relationships with external partners such as printing houses, media buyers, event PR companies, advertisers, newspapers, magazines and digital platform developers when necessary.
    • Ensure distribution of the content produced in different channels available within World Vision Mongolia (website, social media, E-newsletter) and across partnership (storyhub, contentflow, wvrelief).
    • Leverage the content created through appropriate social and traditional media channels as defined by World Vision and Donor priority audiences.
    • Manage all social media accounts and website of World Vision Mongolia and strategically increasing its supporter base.
    • Leverage Social Media and Website reach, engagement and other measurement report in making strategic decisions in targeting and reaching the right audience.
    • Manage distribution of content through traditional media channels (TV, radio, website, newspapers, and magazines) and World Vision Mongolia’s official social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
    • Producing brand compliant visually engaging and compelling communication / marketing materials to increase awareness or inspire action among specific audiences.
    • Production of compelling and issues-oriented public engagement materials (advocacy, technical branding and publicity, web-based, electronic, print and video) for effective public engagement by World Vision Mongolia – both in-country and internationally, and in collaboration with other World Vision Offices if/as appropriate.
    • Planning and executing brand-inspired communications to support the organization’s ministry, advocacy, public engagement and resources development goals.
    • Support in Humanitarian Emergency Communication as needed.


    Minimum education, training, and experience requirements to qualify for the position


    • A Bachelor or College Degree in Fine Arts, Advertising, Multimedia Arts, Development Communications and Mass Communication, PR or equivalent.


    • Proven experience in Social Media and Website management.
    • Proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign)
    • Proven experience with DSLR production cameras for photo and video, including audio.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Excellent command of English both written and spoken
    • Excellent written and verbal skills, with strong technical skills in writing for especially Social Media

    • Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural and communication skills.
    • High passion and dedication to human beings, especially vulnerable people.
    • Willingness to work as a team and get along well with other people.
    • Willingness to adapt change and learn new skills.
    • Relevant experience of communications, social media / website management, public engagement, or related field.
    • Communications technical skills such as social media marketing, story writing, editorial, photography, and creative art.
    • Thorough knowledge of international development work and campaign management.

    Work Environment

    • Handling work with minimum manpower and lesser time
    • The position requires the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
