    Purpose of the position: Quality implementation of Technical Programs with supportive supervision to the Area Programs (APs) under the Regional Portfolio and building capacity of field level staff on project models embedded in the technical programs to address root causes of the sectors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Quality Implementation of Technical programs: planning the programs with the right level of staff and community and partners engagement, develop right technical guide/ modules as requires for successful implementation of project models and review and reporting with and ensure community feedback on Child and Adult safeguarding.
    • Staff capacity building: to develop a training plan based on needs of staff current capacity, develop coaching/mentoring culture across the organization on the technical sector and support AP staff to facilitate training for local partners, communities and volunteers on technical project implementation.
    • Advocacy and collaboration: join the existing network for ensuring children's wellbeing that relates to the strategy, do the policy gap analysis, and engage children and community in the local-level social accountability system.
    • Evidence building and technical branding: develop capacity statement alongside the National Office team, conduct data analysis and case study to make right decision making, and share knowledge across the organization to be relevant at all times.
    • Grants acquisition and engagement: Support Grants Acquisition and Management team on preposition and writing a proposal and seek innovative ideas for the respective technical sector based on donor interest.

    Essential Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:

    • University degree in Social Science, social work or any field related subject;
    • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in child protection program;
    • Strong understanding of child protection systems, community-based child protection programs, child protection in other sectors;
    • Good understanding program cycle management including project planning design, monitoring, and evaluation;
    • Excellent training and capacity building skills: demonstrated by a relevant experience;
    • Strong skills for relating and working with children, including the most vulnerable children;
    • Knowledge and experience of core child protection technical program models/approaches and WVs CP standards
    • English language proficiency is preferable;
    • Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and detail orientation;
    • Willing to travel domestically up to 40% of the time;
    • Commitment to Ethos, Core Value and Mission statement of WVM;
