    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    Ensure and support Area Programmes (APs) and Community Engagement Sponsorship Specialist to plan quarterly child monitoring and participation activities are included in the project documents. Ensure and supports National Office, Area programmes (APs) to map children’s participation and discuss with them to strengthen child development in each activity. Contributes to ongoing reflection and learning within the National Office & Area programmes (APs) team to improve programme performance. Capacity building on use of Child Monitoring Standards to catalyze and advance community-led child protection mechanisms through effective mobilization of community volunteers and partners.  Provide a tool to guide National Office, Area programmes (APs) in annual planning for child sponsorship with partners and stakeholders by focusing on children’s participation & voice and community led-care & protection. Develop and translate sponsorship resource to designing APR, Greeting Card, Project information letter, IL, RL, Farewell letter papers and new initiated projects critically examines strengthening of relevant field processes in coordination with the Support Offices, Communications and APs.   Review AP phase out/transition plans and reporting to Support Offices how the tasks were completed according to the template requirements.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the process of monitoring the quality of report on child well-being through the Power Bi and Horizon reports
    • Manage effective and efficient communication NO to AP then to Sponsors and Support Offices
    • Manage quality processing and timely delivery of all sponsorship related communications from NO to AP
    • Manage sponsor(s) visit, communications from Support Office to concerned AP.
    • Develop and translate sponsorship resource to designing APR, Greeting Card, Project information letter, IL, RL, Farewell letter papers and new initiated projects critically examines strengthening of relevant field processes in coordination with the Support Offices, Communications and APs.  
    • Work closely with the AP and NO staff to integrate the sponsorship programming into development programming to promote mutual learning, support and accountability.
    • Assist AP Managers to ensure that all sponsorship projects have sponsorship project log frames and monitor annual project activity tracking tables.
    • Support AP offices to ensure that sponsorship new initiatives, policies and procedures are properly implemented in the field offices.
    • Review AP phase out/transition plans in relation to sponsorship.
    • Follow up RC management on a monthly basis and ensure that child selections are done in a timely manner with quality.
    • Supports and coordinates the child selection process that is aligned with WV child selection criteria including timeframe, materials, documentation, etc.
    • Coordinates child information management – quality assurance and send feedback to NO Sponsorship team, Area Programmes (Aps) with follow up action.
    • Provide Sponsorship programming orientation to Sponsors and Support Office staff.
    • Conduct and facilitate orientation on sponsorship standard, policy and new approaches to NO sponsorship staff and other AP staff.
    • Conduct APR, Greeting Card training to NO and AP sponsorship staff.
    • Develop needy guidance.
    • Ensure that communication process and customer services to internal and external stakeholders are compliant to sponsorship policies and standards.
    • Manual data quality checking on all types of correspondences to Support offices when necessary.
    • Contribute in completing follow up audit issues related to sponsorship.

    Adhere to sponsorship minimum programming standard /revised Child Management Standard in APs that supports the child wellbeing and quality assurance procedure. 

    • Share best practices and contribute to the community of practice
    • Encourage mutual learning on best practices in the sponsorship communications between APs on community engagement and child monitoring etc.
    • Maintain and develop good work relationships with Support Offices, RO and Global Center.

    KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science and development or other related field
    • Knowledge and experience in community development/ community engagement
    • Demonstrated knowledge of child sponsorship programming
    • Strong problem solving, interpersonal, communication and people management skills (including facilitation)
    • Able to apply blended and adult learning approaches.
    • Ability to apply principles to different contexts
    • Able to develop appropriate reports, proposal, correspondence;
    • Strong coaching ability
    • Excellent communication skills in Mongolia and English (written and verbal).
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidelines
    • Ability to set standards and monitor the activities;
    • Basic program/project DME knowledge
    • Must be highly motivated and proactive to try new things
    • Must be flexible to a demanding and changing working environment
    • 2 years’ of work experience in Development Organization
